GOD love you Mark, but if you think you can get TWICE what the car sold for new, you need to join the brainless idiots on Bring a Trailer with the old Porsche's.
3S's prices ARE getting better, but go and look at NSX's there. They get sticker and THEN some. If it's a T, and low miles, it gets stupid.

The last 3S I saw sold for more than 20K was a near mint 97/98 VR4.

Unfortunately (and I am in this catagory), it doesn't really matter what model, year of 3S you have. The twin turbo's sell better.

If I even thought about putting my 95 Spyder VR4, with 120K miles, #3 off the production line, I might get 20K....MIGHT.

Not even worth the effort.

Our cars will NEVER get the appreciation they deserve, my rose colored glasses got tossed years ago.

I agree with just about everything you say here, with the caveat that I do not believe that the nice TTs are done appreciating/leveling out. NSX and Supra seem to have gotten there and leveled out, RX7 seems to be nearing the peak, nice 300z's are in mid-climb. $30k seems to be the current market value for a NICE 2G VR-4, stealth's tend to do more poorly. I believe they might level out at $45-50k (right around original sticker) Rarity is the driver as only roughly ~4000 Vr-4 coupes were made for us market

No Bob.. to be honest, I need the garage space. At this point, my 4 car garage has 2 spaces taken by my boat and another spot taken by the Stealth. The last spot has always been for my wife. We picked up 3 jetskis this summer and I ended up giving my wife's car the boot from the garage. She's been good about it for now, but once summer is over- Im gonna need to shoehorn the watercrafts in the garage somehow along with my wife's car. Also - my Stealth is no longer my pride and joy. Its been sitting in its spot under a cover with absolutely no attention paid to it. It deserves better.

I would LOVE to own a 96, and I just sold my 92, but I have this damned Focus my son pawned off on my wife when he bought his Tesla. It's now going to be my winter daily (UGH).

I heard that the second olive stealth TT went thru auction here in dallas and quickly resold to someone up north I thought a place like detroit or something, this was last year, I was on the trail for a good half hour of the sale but got there to late, the seller told me who he sold it to and I think I even emailed the persons email to whomever tracks that stealth 96 website so he could contact the person.

so it only took me 12 years to find my Olive Pearl one with limited options , ohmy

someone should check with that collector in PA... Him & his son own a construction biz, and have quite a few Stealths... I talked to him quite a bit last 2 times I was looking for a new Stealth. Not sure if they have a 96 or not.

1996 Dodge Stealth - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive...

Up for sale with regrets for sure but time to let it go. Original manf. Mitsubishi Motors and Dodge imported and branded it Stealth for 7 years. Very rare #54 of 57 made in 96 last year! 6 speed...
