Transmission will not mount!!!

So I have a transmission I bought a while back and I’m not sure what year it is out of. The previous owner told me a 94 which also what I have but the transmission when I bought it had a cable speedometer piece and mine had a electric one. So I swapped them and when I went to throw the transmission into the car my cv axles are almost to big it seems like so is there anyway I can get smaller cv axles? Or would I have to change the wheel bearings as well?
