I got an older laptop used from my school district for $23. All it's missing is a power cable. How can I find a replacement one and how much? I already searched through NEC's website and through google.

Info: NEC Versa V/50

Call tech support and they should be able to give you the part number and where to order it from.

Ok I've tried all those.

Tech Support - not proper hours I have to call back
Radioshack - sells universal kits it might or might not work for $120 (way more than the computer so no thanks)
Ebay - I could buy another laptop (the same model) for like $50 with the power supply and a modem.

You simply need to find out the:

1) plug size
2) plug polarity
3) voltage requirement
4) amperage requirement

Then buy a generic adapter to match. I assume this is one with a round input.
