I recently bought 18' chrome VR4 wheels, and it's going to start snowing here (NY) soon. Even if it doesn't snow, can the cold make the wheels crack or anything? I need opinions...fast as it's supposed to snow within the week. Thanks for any input.

Yes, but you'll beat the hell out of your rotors.

Seriously, I would. Dig up a set of beater wheels for the winter, cause sure enough, one day you'll drive through a snowbank covering a stonewall that you didn't realize was there, and it'll rip all the chrome off for you.

Better still, if fiscally possible, be nice to your car and put her away for the winter. Avoid all that sand and salt and crap getting inside everything and rusting it out on you.

I wish I could put her away, but it's my only car so...I have the original wheels, so that's not a problem. I hope I'll be able to get the chromes off, I had to bring it somewhere to have them put on because it is so cold and they were frozen on. Thanks.
