shaking problem

I have a 95vr4 and I am keep on feeling my car shake. It seems to only shake when the boost starts to come on in second gear. I think it might shake a little in the other gears also but second gear seems to be the most noticable. What can be causing this? I have heard that if you replace your spark plug wires that it will make your car run smoother. Do you think that is what the problem is? The car has 80000 miles on it and the spark plug wires are still the stock ones. I replaced the spark plugs around 3000 miles ago with 13 dollar iridiums. Does the gap have anything to do with this shaking. Please help

Can you describe the shaking better?

Is it a heavy shudder from underneath the car?
(possible Carrier Bearings on the Driveshaft)

Does the engine feel like it's trying to rattle around?
(possible worn engine mounts)

If it's ONLY when the boost comes on, do you have a boost controller where you can turn down the boost, and be absolutely sure of this?

Ie, we need more detail.

if your "shake" is actually a mis fire,then yes absoulutly it could be the wires,when were they changed last?

HMM! this doesn't sound good if it's somthing major because I just bought a 97 VR4 with 45K miles on it about 2 weeks ago with the exact same symptoms. I noticed this to. Mine does the EXACT same thing in 2nd gear. It does it a little in 1st, but more noticeable in 2nd. I don't feel it in 3rd at all. I only happens when you get close to WOT(wide open throttle) and at or around maximum boost. I'm completely stock myself.

I hope this is something minor because I don't want to have to service a car that I just bought....

For all the guru's, I'm not experienced enough to pin point exactly what could cause it. I would need someone more knowledgable to drive it and see. If it is something then I still have warranty left on the car from the previous owner, so that is good......I guess.

thats exactly what my car is doing too. It doesnt seem to be slower but it is very annoying. I hope someone knows what is the cause of this. If anyone knows or finds out please let me know.
