Look at the metal part of your rear view mirror where it meets the windshield. There should be a metal screw that holds it to the winshield. Take that screw out, it should be an allen head screw. Put some thread tape or locktite on the screw, screw the mirror back on and I think you should be all set. I used to have to tighten my mirror weekly otherwise it would just fall off from all the vibrations. Now the mirror stays put and stopped rattling.
