Worked fine on the test setup. Going to try to get out of work early today to test fit it on the 1998 GT and do several sets of cycles to make sure the operation is smooth. Couldn't pull that off yesterday since it was raining and the garage is full with 3S cars and furniture (renovating). Makes me cringe, but going to put a load (force) on the sunroof to ensure the physical strength of the part is sufficient against shearing in the case of insufficient or poor lubrication causing excess friction. Obviously you want to make sure you don't allow for that condition to occur, but I want to make sure the serviceability is better than original.
I want everyone to keep in mind I'm offering lifetime warranty on these parts. As long as you properly clean and lubricate the assembly as per video (soon to be uploaded), I have no issues offering this for people. The least I can do for everyone's patience on this mini-project. Plus I want everyone to know I stand behind any of my work.
New Readers: This is one of those small issues that keeps the car from being maintained well. It is very common, so if you hear your power tilt sunroof motor whirling and nothing moving or barely moving chances are one or both of your factory sliders has failed. Your options are to try to replace the entire cable tray (MR200678) approx. $150+ (probably more) , which comes with sliders since those are normally crimped onto the steering cable. The crimps are not easy to remove and you risk of damaging the cable... in addition, you'd have to find a proper crimp and hydraulic crimp tool $$$$. People claim the sliders come with the regulator (drive cable w/ copper guide tubes) but I have no confirmation for this. The sliders don't return anything in the online parts websites, I'll confirm this in case you need to update your actual slider, but chances are you won't have to.

Yikes! You should of gotten it within a day... You're literally a few hours away from RI. smh.. someone must of gotten lazy or goofed.

Most likely this will solve your issue. When your slider breaks (likely), it'll make whirling sounds all day long but unfortunately cannot lift or close the sunroof (usually fails opening versus closing).
