I have a '95 VR-4. Recently, the alarm has been going off for no apparent reason. It has happened at home, in parking lots, etc. Everything else seems to work properly. Also, I can arm the alarm with no problems, as the Owner's Manual describes. Please tell me if you have any idea what might be wrong. I seem to remember hearing or reading that low voltage from an older battery could cause this, but I don't want to replace the battery unless someone can confirm my suspicion. Thanks in advance for your help!

I remember reading about the same problem before. I believe that there are sensors for the alarm under the hood which seem to be the problem. They are right in front and are covered by black rubber. If you turn them they will adjust in height. If turned too low they will go off even when the hood is closed. You just have to figure out which one is triggering the alarm and turn it so that it gets raised.
