Hi guys,
since 2-3 days ago,when I pushed my car in 3rd gear,around
4500rpm,there are a sudden engine cut off. It's not really
extreme, the engine feels like jerking and then it continues to
pull.I'm guessing this is a fuel cut.Am I correct?I can feel the
fuel cut in 3rd gear is stronger than in 2nd and 1st.

I just installed NGK Copper plugs and Brand New Magnecor 8.5
mm wires about 2,400 miles ago,so I don't think it's the cause.
I installed my MBC at the same time, but I never used it,I turn
the boost all the way down. The other mod that I have is K&N
FIPK.

According to my research, the best way is to run bigger fuel injector/pump/upgraded ECU.Do I really need to have those
mods?I'm not planning to crazy mod this car since this is my
daily driver.Do you think the "free fuel relay" mods will help?

On a side note, this occation just started to happend a few days
ago since the weather is cold and dry(about 40-50 deg).Isn't
that kind of weather suppose to be good for our cars?

Please help me guys.....I just lost to an S 2000 because of this.
Any info/opinions will be very appreciated.Thx in advance
:)

What boost are you running? Does it still cut when you turn the boost down? From your story I gather that your car starts to cut out when you have your boost cranked up, right? If thats the case you'll need bigger injectors, fuel pump, and a fuel controler. That is if Im understanding your problem. ;)

Hollywood:
I never crank my boost up since I don't have the aftermarket
gauge.I just put my MBC in,and set it to the lowest boost.
I'm gonna install my gauge tomorrow.I've never encountered
this problem before. It's started 2-3 days ago.
BTW,thx for the reply...

I think it's too early too assume it's any one thing. It could be electrical or it could be fuel related. You certainly don't need to add anything else. You said yourself, it just started happening.

You'll need to gather a little more info. Does it always happen now? After the jerking occurs, does it continue to pull ok till redline, or once the jerking begins, does it continue till redline?

Have you tried to dump codes?

Pak:
yeah,it just started about few days ago when the weather turned cold and dry.I've read somewhere that that kind of
weather could cause fuel cut since more air enters the engine.

After the jerking occurs at around 4500rpm,my engine pulls OK
till redline. It only occurs once in every gear I think. It always
happens, mostly I can feel it in 3rd,4th and 5th gear.

BTW,could you please tell me how to dump code? Thanks in
advance...:)
