Hi,
I know that oil pump for '92 3000GT Twin Turbo is not available any more. I have been searching through internet and asked my Japanese friend to find one, part number MD150013. No way to get one at all, period!
Nevertheless, I found that the N/A SOHC is almost identicle.
Do you think it can be modified to be used with TT engine?
Has it been done before? What should be done?
Or do you recommend any other oil pump for TT engine?

The only thing that I could think of is that the oil flow demand for the turbo engines is higher due to the flow to each turbocharger that the NA engine does not have. I don't know if they accommodated this with changing the pump geometry or if they just changed the spring in the relief valve. You'd have to measure to know for sure.

Are you sure you have the correct part number? I see MD175583 as the part number for 91-92 twin turbos. edit: it still looks to be out of stock though...bummer. Is yours defective or outside the tolerances listed in the service manual?

Do you know the part number of the N/A one? I asked many people someone said it is not compatible.
Unfortunately I cannot find the discussion about that, just only part want. I would be grateful if you provide me the links of those modifications.

Thanks for the Link, but the one you show me is the pump for 93-99 pump, not 91-92 pump. I wonder if you have the other links for 91-92 pump modification. I have been searched all over and came up with nothing at all. If you know the part number for N/A pump that I can use, please let me know. I would appreciate you help so much.

Mitsubishi OEM Oil Pump 6G72 DOHC NA 91-92 part# MD150013
You just have to swap the stronger spring for relief valve from TT pump into the NA pump.

Don, Ninja is not taking orders. Only filling backorders.
Not sure if it will ever be "open" again.

I'm also looking for an oil pump (MD150013 or MD175583) for a 92 VR4. Every place I have checked is OOS and can't get more.

I have one that I removed with about 700 miles from my rebuilt 91 VR4 engine. OEM and I bought it from Mitsu Dealer around 2012ish. What is the going price for used ones these days in the USA?
If the price to sell was not worth it, My plan was to swap the gears and spring into modified 6G75 housing for my MIVEC build.

Less than a new one since all you have to do is change or shim the spring in a new NA one to make it work for the VR4

Thanks, but I have asked them both if they had them in stock, no answer back at all. In the past, I used to order the part before ask if the available. Most of the charged the credit card immediately then gave me back the money but they charged the procession fee which gave me back nothing but lossing money.
