Hello, recently bought a 1992 3000gt SL as a no start car, the car will crank strong but with no actually start. The check engine light does not come at all when you turn the key or anything so I decided to check the ECU just to make sure everything was okay and the ecu turned out to have a blown capacitor. Replaced the ecu with a new one and it still just cranks but no start. I did replace the MFI relay cause I didn't hear any clicks or anything and it still doesn't. Checked every fuse in the engine bay and driver compartment and all of them are good. I don't have spark but I do have fuel. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Start with the basics. Make sure its getting gas. It could be a bad relay in the engine compartment for the fuel pump or if they did the hotwire trick to make the fuel pump stronger the relay would be an exra one possibly in the back near the fuel pump. Do you heal the fuel pump? Normally you can hear it kick on.

After that make sure its getting spark. Thats easy enough, have someone crank it while you pull one of the wires off the coil and look for spark.
