My last stealth had both sides broken on the vent, but I noticed that my 92 stealth hasn't broken yet. Does anyone know what causes the break? Is it heat, cold, or changing from one to the other too fast? I heard someone said they tried to tint the window to keep the sun off it. Does that help?

For what is is worth, I had heard it was heat, mainly from the sun. I have used sun shades and I haven't had a problem on my 92, yet.

Dave is right, so you can use sun covers, or get a dash mat. The heat will also cause your dash to raise around the vents

Speaking of vent covers, I have heard that there might be some aftermarket vent covers that were made of metal instead of the cheap plastic that frequently breaks. These apparently have wider edges that overlap the dask around the vent better to hold everything down. If antone knows of these and maybe where to find them I am sure that more than just I would appreciate it.
