I've stopped using that on my 91 on the flat black rear shelf by the wiper. I don't know WHAT to use on it. I think it's too far gone. I just wash it & slowly watch it fade more & more. & keep it in the garage as much as possible. Is there ANY solution out there to make the surface look better, short of repainting? Seen plenty of our older model cars in the same shape.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Mine's fading too. I can even see a reddish primer around the edges now.

I have had some success using 'Black Magic' on it to restore its luster and shine. I also try not to scrub it too hard or too often. if you find something better, let me know. Thanks.
