I know running 450s with no controller is a bad idea, but if you could tune them down enough it would be fine. running rich really kills power, this I know fron experience.
The only place really large injectors are a problem is at idle. There's a limit to how quickly the injectors can spray so with big ones (like 720s), even their quickest (shortest duration) spray for idle requirements may be richer than you want.
