knock sensor damage
a follow up to my bizarre knock issues .. I've been doing some maintenance on the vr-4 and since I had everything apart I had a look at the actual knock sensor. The top of it is covered in this black sticky looking ooze, and the wire coming out the top of it has broken insulation and is beaten up and bare where it goes into the sensor.
has this happened to anyone else? I'm going to replace the sensor but do they usually to go bad like this?
