I have a 95 VR4 that’s pretty much stock. Only changes are aftermarket 2” intercooler piping, dsm side mount intercoolers, hks ssbov, and an hks evc boost controller. I’m running stock turbos, Injectors and fuel pump.

I have a dejon blow thru setup sitting on my shelf with a gm maf. I’d really like to install it since it would benefit my hks open atmosphere bov plus I love the way the dejon pipes look. Would I be able to install it without getting the car tuned since it will be running all stock settings with the gm translator?

It will still need a bit of tuning as the maft can't be a 1:1 translation due to variables like the maf and the piping, positioning, etc.

Would I need to install a safc? I don’t want to install an aftermarket ecu since I don’t plan on modding the car much more after this for the time being.

No, I believe you can get an acceptable tune with just the MAFT.
