The University of Virginia car club is planning on hosting a car show, tentatively scheduled for early April, although the date should not change too much from there. I am looking to see if there is some considerable interest in general members showing the cars, or to see if there are any local vendors interested in displaying their products at the show. It would be located in Charlottesville, VA and advertised locally. We have already received verbal commitments from several local vendors and performance shops to have their products and cars displayed at the show, and there will also be local car club member cars on display from various organizations. Please let me know either by posting on this thread or by emailing me at [email protected] if you are interested in attending this type of event. I will relay more specific details to those interested as the details become available to me.

Could be a blast, that's why I'm going to wait for more info. Why isn't the car running JT?

Mugget, you're the second person from the forum I've found out might be attending UVA next year. The car club is just a bunch of guys who like cars. We go on scenic drives and have chicken picnics, go to drag strips (including semi-annual shootouts against Va Tech), some of us run autocrosses, and we do some other stuff as well. We're only in our third year, but we get more and more organized all the time. If you're interested, www.cavcars.com/forum is the address of the webforum there, check it out to get some more information if you'd like.

Secondly, we're pending final approval for the show. At this point, it looks like $10 is the cost to show. A large part of that will go to a local charity to be decided, and the rest will be up for a few prizes for some show entries. I think some of you guys should show regardless of whether or not your car is in "show condition," mostly because of the charity element. Most of the cars in there aren't really going to be show cars, and it would definitely be pretty cool to get a good 3/S representation. The date will be April 24th, again pending final approval. I'll get more information as it's available, but im 95% sure it's a go.
