How would i go about sanding down and primering my used spoiler for painting???

I just purchased a spoiler from a fellow 3sier and it needs to be painted. I want to have a little fun and get it ready for a pintjob myself. I have never done this before so any information, websites, pictures or anything would be nice. How should I start, with what and where can I get it???
thanks alot:)

I had the same question a few weeks ago.......the only reply i got was that.....Call and see what paint they are using and see what Paint they are using....and should you just remove the clear coat or remove the paint too...not all primers go with every paint.

If you find more info please post....I need this info too.

Thanks,

What kind of condition is the spoiler? Is the clear pealing or rough anywhere? If the it has good paint on it just do as gt0311 said. I believe your changing the color of the spoiler to match your car so it doesn't matter if you sand through.
gotta be careful with it tho because it is plastic!! if you're not careful, you will scratch the plastic and the paint will look rough!!

He never said what kind of spoiler. It could be a lower spoiler for his front bumper. :D

You are right though. If it's the spoiler for the trunk it can be scratched very easily.
