Ok so a couple of days ago both of my belts broke. They were pretty old and beat up so I didnt really think much of it and figured it was just routine maintenence. Then yesterday as I went to try and replace them I noticed that my crank drive pully was sitting at like a 40 degree angle to the engine! How in the hell did that happen? The pulley itself seems to be in good shape, except for the fact that it looks as though it were pulled from the engine. Is this just a matter of replacing the pulley? god I hope so. How much is this going to cost me to fix?

You can find a used pulley on th eboard and it will run about $40. DO NOT START YOUR CAR IF THE PULLEY IS BENT!! You could spin a bearing if the pulley is truned with it in that condition.

Sounds to me like the belts were over-tightened. Pulled the pulley... let me guess it angles up toward the engine ( \ ) with the bottom half pointing to the drivers side wheel?

Yeah, replace the pulley, don't drive it until you do so.
