Wow, it's been a few years. It wasn't a bouncer but a side to side shaker. Amazing how much a seemingly solid building can flex and move.

Damn I'm feeling kind of dizzy queezy. The scary part now afterward is you always wonder if it was a realitively small one centered close by, or a HUGE one farther away that we only felt the fringes of.

Uh oh. Just heard it was a 5.1 centered near Palm Springs. That's two hours away so there could be some damage. LA, OC guys shoulda' felt this one too.

5.1 ?? Thats not too bad. When i was in Twentynine Palms, there was a 7.2 that I was right on a fault line and the floor actually split and sank a few inches. It threw all the equipment off and we had to "recallibrate".

I only felt one EQ the entire time i was out there. It was a 4.2. Actually, I didn't even feel it. I heard my windows and doors start shaking. That was all.

I don't get it...all these people in other states, you shouldn't feel an earthquake 2000 miles away!

I dunno, is it a joke or something I'm missing out on

Yeah, you don't want to go swimming for 1/2 hour after an earthquake, you might get a cramp.
Jim, how long have you been in Cali, man? That one was just a little roller. Had I been asleep I wouldn't have even noticed it. :)
