While my cars been in the shop getting the tranny worked on, I have been driving my '82 datsun. Everythings been grand until today boom, the heater core blows, and I get fizzing and a lot of smoke (I know its not smoke, its just gaseous water and antifreeze but I cant think of the word). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had an idea of what I could do about it, besides replacing it all. Would alumaseal help at all? otherwise I think im just going to try to bypass the heater core.

First of all, it's called STEAM not smoke. lol

Second a sealent will work if it isn't too bad. Of course by passing will work until you need a heater. Then you are cold.
