My son has a 93 Stealth ES. The gas pedal has the same problem. The only way for him to accelerate smoothly is to put his foot at the very top of the gas pedal and slowly apply pressure. It seems to help. Adjusting the throttle cable and lubricating any linkage hasn't helped. I wish I had an answer.

Same here. Tried to lube cables but you need to take stuff apart to do it right. Pedal still sticks sometimes causing a jolt.

My gas pedal feels kind of sticky. It's hard to just push it down an inch since I push down until it gives. Any ideas?

One of thre problems.. Either a throttle cable going bad (they do wear out), dirty throttle body shaft or worn bushings inside throttle body, or a "kink" in the cable ( a slight one will cause this condition).. Check it out ASAP, as this is not safe to keep driving it like this..

Thanks Brian, you've always been a great help (got Aircharger from you in NY too).
Is it difficult to take the throttle body apart to lube the moving parts?
Vadim.
