BACK FROM THE DEAD So I know that i have been slow on this.......OOOPPPPSSS.... but the brackets are at the Laser cutter. I can get multiple brackets made. They will require you to grind the hub and caliper in order to get the pad on to the rotor 100%. The bracket is being made of 3/8in steel This will probably be the only time I have this bracket made, The only reason i am having it made is so that i can put it on my car. so if your interested let me Know. I will need you to paypal me upfront as i dont have the money to spot you. they should be complete within 2-3 weeks
18 years ago I ran my 94 VR4 at the local road courses (Thunder Hill, Laguna Seca and Sears Point) a LOT. I raced in the SCCA and helped out as a tack day instructor using my VR4.
Initially I destroyed stock pads and rotors in 2 sessions. Race compound pads in stock gen 2 calipers lasted a morning and cryo-treated slotted rotors lasted a whole track day.
So I installed a Stillen AP 6 piston kit but kept the rears stock gen 2 on dimpled cryo-treated rotors. This set-up totally transformed the car on track and street.
IMHO the front weight bias of our cars is such that the rear brakes really don't do much under hard braking. At race pace most of the braking load is on the fronts (all track bikes have the same issue).

Ha. Love that this was bumped, I have the brackets sitting in my garage. Don’t know who else does either but I hop on eBay every couple months trying to find a good deal on the calipers and rotors. Been doing that since 2011 I guess.
I get brake fade when running the dragon and if you’ve ever gotten brake fade it’s a scary feeling coming into a turn and knowing if you push that brake any harder you will lock it up but the brakes aren’t stopping as hard as they were.
If I ever do put these on I will update about them.
Not a product review, just want any potential buyers to realize how little space there is between the throttle body...
Hi all - I'm in the process of replacing the window regulators and thought while I have the door panels off I might try to repair the cracks in the vinyl (see pictures below). I know this has been asked before, but I wonder if anyone has had good luck doing this or is it better to just replace...
I live in a small town out west and we have neither home depot nor Lowes. That means I frequently have to shell out $79 on truck deliveries and more than the money, I am tired of the non-existent and incompetent customer service at these establishments.
What can I safely tow behind my civic? I...

Just in case anyone was wondering, and since I couldn't find a concrete answer, I just wanted to let you all know that 99 gas tanks will fit on a first Gen, so I'd assume all 2g tanks fit as well. :)
