Just in case anyone was wondering, and since I couldn't find a concrete answer, I just wanted to let you all know that 99 gas tanks will fit on a first Gen, so I'd assume all 2g tanks fit as well. :)

Not sure why there would have been any confusion? All 91-97 tanks are the same. 98-99 have a pressure sensor that the early ones didn't. You can physically bolt a 98-99 tank in anything. You can not put an early tank in a 98-99.

They are really all the same gen IMO since the chassis didn't change.

I've seen more than one post questioning it. I assumed they'd be the same since the unibody is the same. Just figured I'd confirm they do in fact fit, even with the sensor. Can't hurt to have even the most basic of info here, can it?
