The FSM isn't very descriptive on how to remove the tank. The hose clamp on the lower portion of the rubber fill elbow is so rusted I can't loosen it, and I can't reach the top one. Does the whole fuel filler neck drop down after being disconnected from where the fuel cap is? Am I missing something extremely obvious? Heh. The FSM basically says take it apart. That's it. Lol

I was thinking you open the gas tank lid and undo the 3 screws, take off the tank cap also .....

The filler comes down when tank is lowered....

PS....i have never done a tank

If you remove the wheel well liners on the passenger side rear you'll have much better access to the hose and clamp. The main fill hose is still available, I just bought one recently. About your question on the filler neck - I haven't taken mine apart yet but there's a gasket for the top part I bought. I believe there's an outside piece that bolts to the inside piece, and the two pieces are sealed with that gasket. So if you take the bolts out the inside part should drop down.
