Front Suspension Noise

i remember reading on the message board a while back about "knocking" sounds coming from the front strut area when hitting a bump...my car has developed this sound...
i suspect a bushing etc. can anybody help? gary

i think it is a bearing plate above the shock, i have it on my car too. Waiting to get new springs/shocks to change while i'm at it tho. hopefully the new plate will solve the knocking sound.
