I think I recall hearing in a post that some scenes from the F&F were filmed in Winnipeg? Is there any truth to this? My friend swears that there was supposed to be a scene filmed on Portage somewhere...does anybody know?

It's no doubt that it's a huge rumor. I've read stuff about the major race scenes being filmed in Florida, Miami, I believe, somewhere warm. The movie is set somewhere hot and they're not gonna film in Winnipeg, the "great white north", where the snow and salt is unmistakeable. Us 3/s's could film an amature "fast and the furious" film in Winnipeg featuring all 3/s's in the summer! That would be wicked!

I read the original news release and it looked "kosher" to me but when I went back to find it it was gone, so I don't know what the current status of the rumor is.
