Shit, I’m a millennial. Nothing to brag about😂🤣, but I agree 90% my generation is lazy as hell, gets babied and let’s social media control their lives. But I use both Facebook, here, and reputable people in the community that are just a message away for anything I need on my car.

When I was in my teens I spent more time around elderly people ranging from 50 to 80 years old age they're conversations were more interesting and funny at times
They're knowledge and wisdom was like fast forwarding thru time to the present day
You could over time weed out the BS that was said to ya by others if you always paid attention to things going on around ya and not being so gullible
We all experience what I like to say

Tried with my sons... to raise them best I could
One doesn't even know how to use a screw driver .... told me that he will make enough money to have other people fix it for him

I deleted my Facebook permanently months ago, but I do miss the FB pages to an extent. Mostly for shit talking/trolling. But there was a small circle of OG 3/S members that made it worth the time and I did try to genuinely help people, especially newbies who GENUINELY needed it....Unfortunately due to the age of 3SI much of the quality information that is related to common questions on FB is difficult to find anymore unless you know exactly what to look for or who it was posted by.

However majority of FB 3S car group members are among the group who.

A: Traded their shit box for one that unfortunately is also a shit box
B: Bought it "cuz it lookd cool" and crave social media attention, and live for E-Status.
C: Couldn't afford a Supra or RX7, so they went with 3000GT because it is the cheapest.

And most of them all of have the same thing in common. They bought a clapped out VR4 or some shitty base, loaded it up with cheap mods and post about how to make 1000hp on a budget, but can't be bothered to even do so much as check the oil, let alone a 60K and blame the car for their poor decisions after it blows up.

It doesn't take long to identify the few in the groups who genuinely love the 3/S platform, and those who just take what they can get, but can't afford what they want, but have a cock, attention seeking attitude..

Which is why I would tend to be such an asshole on Facebook on the 3/S groups 😁

But if you think the 3/S groups are bad...RX8 groups are on a whole new level of cringe.

This right here. This is probably why a lot of other communities claim the 3/S's are very unreliable vehicles. They can be very reliable when taken care of properly, as with any car, but you end up getting a whole lot of kids who buy the car very cheap, mod it even cheaper, neglect basic maintenance, and it backfires. No one in the supra community is going to spend $75k + on a car then ask "how can I make 1000hp on a $1k budget?", have a bad paint job on top of it, then drive it irresponsibly everywhere you go. If you spend enough money for a car, your going to take care of it and drive it responsibly. If you do race it, it's probably going to be on a track where it's much safer.

but how many FB guys search google? The answer is almost zero based on what I see in 3S, DSM, and many LS groups I'm in....so not exclusive to 3Sers. (they don't search the groups they are in also.) It is what it is. The good ole days of forums being the hot bed of new info, shit talking, new dynos, record breaking ET runs, etc,,,,,,,,is over.

Definitely great archive of info. I still use them to search. (3si, dsmtuners, ls1tech, yellowbullet etc)

I send 3S people here all the time when they DM me on FB with questions because people think I'm their personal google.

Yeah you are probably right and that adds even more to the confusion.

We all like to give the next gen a hard time but it all depends on the person and upbringing.

When I was in my 20s I worked with a bunch of old times and kids my age in plaster and plastics (plaster, fiberglass, graphite and metal) tooling/fabrication.

I was told the older guys would not share their secrets or teach us younger guys anything. I found it just the opposite and was told by them it was because I didn't act like I knew everything and was willing to listen. of forse then I was called a suck up by my peers. LoL

Technically, we are the "Lost/In-between Generation" We don't really fit in 100% with either generation because we have the work ethic and values of the older generation, but also created all the technology used by the newer generations.

Well if the celebrities (etc...) didn't blast themselves all over the internet or tv .... wouldn't have to contend with s*** a** people (half naked - drugs - sex - murder - money) ....could raise our children with common sense and some morals instead of them chasing a dream that 3/4 quarters of them will never see.....
Take college football for instance .... all I see is a bunch of show boat dumb A**** trying to make it to the NFL.... bunch of selfish little turds running round the field.... supposed to be a football team.... not just to one person ... watching sports period is garbage now a days

Upgraded software and 3d diagrams on every make and model vehicle is now dumb'd down into learning terms for millennials
I hate it .... takes to long to even find what I'm looking for specially for these newer vehicles....(to remove one part .....it breaks it down into 2 pages minimum) then another 10 pages you have to dig thru just to find exactly what your looking for .... why can't it be one and done search like it used to be ..... god for bid you put a wiring diagram in front of them .... lol

I've been trolling around in FB lately. It's fun, but there are so many annoying kids on there that argue just for the sake of arguing. It's like they wake up in the morning with the sole purpose of being an asshole, seeking out conversations that they can vomit their opinion on. I've also noticed that these kids want our platform to remain cheap and crappy, bitching and moaning if values go up. Definitely annoying, but still entertaining and nice to see more cars than the 7 active members of 3si.

3. An entire group dedicated to stuffing 6G75 engines in things (everything from magnas and civics to 3S's)

Did Ray get out of the game completely or just low key?

Life always seems to get in the way of finishing projects. Wish I still had my 67 camaro (90 complete), 85 TA and a couple othere. 4 wives later, 21 surgeries and a lot in between I'm happy to still have my 1991 Stealth TT with 235,000 miles daily driver with 400 wheel hp that still has a few bugs to work out.

Life Likes to throw curve balls to some of us but it's knowing when to walk away and when to run.

Went a lot longer than I ever imagined but shows I am not alone in mybfeeling about the fakebook groups so far.

Another thing I like about the forum is when a troll did show up we got rid of them fairly quickly but on fakebook they seem to go on forever.
