I just wanted to see if your opinions and experiences with these two shops and their products.

Thanks,

I had spun bearings, destroyed my crank, cracked 5 out of 6 pistons and a few other things. I was in a real rush to get my car done before the gathering we all had here in Cali back in July and he got it done with a week to spare. Technically speaking, if it weren't for him I wouldn't have met the love of my life. Hehehe !!. GTPro has been badmouthed by a few people here on the board, but they're great by my book and I'll surely bring my stealth back to him should I ever need to do something I can't handle myself.

*** Do I get a sponsorship or something for saying such nice things, Brian? LOL j/k.

:D
I had a very good experience with GT-Pro.... They upgrade (update) my ARC-2 to the latest version. Very nice people...

I have never purchased anything at GT-PRO, but the 2 times I visited CA last year I went there to meet brian and manny. They treated me like family. Very cool place, people, and I like their products.

Have not not purchased or met anyone from AAM.
I've had good experiences with AAM, esp. Joe.. They are usually pretty busy though, so just be patient if things take a little long..

3SX is good. Steve and Dan know their stuff.. :D
I remember it like yesterday --

We all have in-n-out burger at GTPro. We even got some for the two painters that were there. I miss California.

That's going to be the signature on all my posts. "I miss California."

:p

YEAH!!! Thats the same thing we had. It was kinda funny. Hoser and I pull up in my Toyota Corola type S rental car. There are like 10 SWEET 3s'er there but we all pile in the type s to have lunch hahaha. Thats messed up!
I have not boughten anything from them yet and I exchange 5-6 emails daily with brian... my head are going down to visit soon and you can see the work done in my sig. He is a great guy and customer service is top notch! cant wait to get my heads down there... I hear he does great work and he is better priced than a local guy and he knows alot more :D
thanks for all the responses guys. what seems to be the most common boost controller, y-pipes, intakes and exhausts everyone is using? I was thinking about the Blitz DSBC, either GT pro or AAM y pipe, Not sure about intake and maybe the ATR exhuast with dp? Does their dp take away all the cats or just the front or rear?

Thanks

Jarod
I have been to almost all speed shops around the LA/OC area.. after I found GTPro about 2 yrs ago, it's the ONLY place I will take my car (for perf stuff)!

Price might not be the best, but workmanship and knowledge they definately got... thats worth the extra pennies IMO~ :)

Here's my GTPro car...

OPPPSSSS... wrong file... here it is... :D

wow... congrats! does she have cute asian friends? (female!) does she let u drive her car?
She doesn't have very many female friends. She's got a female asian roommate.. but she's taken.. I think.. hehehe.. As for her car. Not really, but it's not like I asked. I don't really want to drive her car. :).. I like my TT. I've moved her car actually, and I don't really like her clutch. It's too soft compared to my RPS II ya know?
GT PRO

IF have been to gt pro lately you probably have seen my yellow vr4 outside waiting for a new stage III rebuild. the only thing i had a problem with is it took a little longer than expected. but i would rather wait and have it done right than have someone rush getting my car done. GT PRO will be the only shop my car sees. even for something as little as an oil change...

As long as they dont take ur engine to Bensons, the turn around time will be MUCH MUCH MUCH better~ Bensons had my engine for almost 4 months!! It only took a day or 2 for GTPro to put the engine back and get the car running~

I think they found a new machine shop that does real quality work... the turn around time is 1-2 weeks!!

They are very honest guys and very helpful. They sell some great stuff and know a lot about the cars.

Justin
Watch out for them, they're drug dealers. They deal in a little known drug called 'speed.' They give you a little taste... a boost controller .. maybe a pulley or exhaust.. and then you're hooked. Next thing you know, it's bigger turbos, built engine, FMIC. They should be arrested. :-D

But that speed is SOOOOOO good. *twitch*

Seriously, though, Brian, Manny, And Aaron are great guys.
I think when I met Brian it was a bad day. But he seems alright. He's given me some good advice here and there. Never really did anything with AAM.
I buy all my stuff from Brian these days, Never had a problem & my car was a rocket, till I over boosted. 1st thing in the engine rebuild will be a Huge fuel pump
Only time ive been to AAM I went inside and like..1 dude was talkin to someone on the phone just walkin around and 2 dudes were in the corner asleep by the soda machine :D Anyhow Ive since spoken to mike via email about my vr-4 and he seemed pretty cool, guess next time I go i'll just have to find him heh.
