Here's what I've learned:
94-99 Jap and Euro ECU can communicate in MUT
94-95,98-99 USA ECUs can communicate in MUT
96-97 USA ECU *only* communicate in OBD2 mode. You can use OBD2overMUT to get MUT request ID to work. OBD2 mode is very slow.
98-99 USA ECUs can also communicate in OBD2 mode, or OBD2overMUT.

The knock (3E) is not for our cars. Knock (26) is. You must keep in mind that Evoscan is not written specifically made for our cars, so this here some confusion comes from. Some of those request IDs are for Evos, and DSM.

Not true. My 97 USDM ECU can communicate using 'Mitsubishi MUTIII' just fine. 204 samples / sec.
