He got up to the line and started jacking with the transmission, going through the gears a few times, same thing he did in the 2nd and 3rd runs. I edited it out the first one cause it was annoying but got lazy after that. What difference does it make?
hey man we forgot to thank you for posting the video. i really wanted to hear that car. thanks again
You need in car video of Matts feet so we can be sure he doesn't have a midget Ninja under there that he imported from Nagoya to operate the clutch.

DR/3SX/Nelson need to find a place to meet up with a track and dyno! I would so fly my ass wherever that is if it happens!

Why not just book a mobile dyno for the NG08, this would solve all of the issues/requests.

  • Weight on the day
  • Power on the day
  • ET/MPH on the day
Lots of companies do Dyno Dynamics on a trailer or Dyna Packs on a trailer.
The preference of the machine or its reputation is not whats important, the results of multiple cars on the dyno and track is what counts.

Plus people could dyno at 3SX then dyno at the NG08 which would resolve some of the doubts people have over their dyno. (Or make them worse depending on how it goes)

Oh, and it gives people something else to sponsor!

Mark;)

LOL....Do you honestly think that its' "harder" to shift a SLOWER car, also a FWD civic...you can slam those bitches in gear at WOT, ....u can't even compare something like that to an awd 3/s.......

It's much easier to make a 6spd 3/s car should like that. with the gear ratio's being closer together. It's also easier to do with out missing a gear when you are shifting at a lower RPM. You also have to be willing to kill your $2000+ tranny on any one pass. Power shifting a Mustang, Corevtte, Viper are all WAY easier then a 3/s car.

These vids below I had 6spd in with MR gears. DR-800's, stock cams, shifting sub 7500rpm. I was making 3 shifts in this car by about the 1/8 mile mark.

And now to every noob that has continually asked how "even a 240" can be in the "deep 9's" while a 3S can't (even though it has been) ... Your car just beat the quickest 240, while weighing in at more than 600lbs more, and having the higher drivetrain loss.
Who the heck was asking that?

Very cool to see those kinda times/traps out of a 3/S
