Hey everyone,

I had a buddy help me do my CV axles and unfortunately he messed up the mount for the intermediate shaft on the driver’s side (pics attached.) Is there any way to just replace this seal, or do I have to replace the whole shaft+mount? It is out of a ‘95 VR4.

Thanks

Ouch... that is pretty f*cked lol.

This is a much older thread, so do NOT respond to it: axle dust shield <<

At that point, you might as well get the bearing kit too from one of the 3/S dealers or vendors.

Alternatively, you can just get a replacement hanger bracket and/or immediate shaft assembly - new or used. This will allow you to deal with that one later.

I believe the dust shield is part of the axle and not the intermediate shaft. I’m battling my drivers side shaft and trying to separate them and the new axle has a new dust shield on it.
