I was driving at about 40 in 3rd and I just gave full throttle upto 55 and when I let off gas, my car jerked and heard thump sound This happened only once but I'm started to worry about my x-fer case. What could be the problem here??

Sounds like driveshaft carrier bearings or motor mounts.

How many miles are on the car?

Our drivetrains turn into rubber bands with age.

The transfer case gets slop in it, the driveshaft gets sloppy, the motor mounts start to break.

My car has 48k miles. 2 weeks ago i checked my driveshaft and it didnt have any play
