Hey guys,

Since we have our own subforum now I think it would be fun to post everyone's cars/project out here to get a good view of what is going on in the Netherlands with these cars.

I welcome comments and feedback!

I got my car about 1.5 years ago and Imported i from Japan. YES its's a RHD :p
It is an 1993 GTO VR4 , although it is a 1993 it is however a 2gen.

I got it very cheap and the people in Japan have NO taste, just look at the pic at how I got it and you'll see for yourself.

In about 3 months the car turned into this:

I got a Dutch title for it.. The guys testing it at the circuit really had a go with it, driving it as fast as they can on an ice road in middle of winter.
I noticed they took quit a bit longer test drive than normal :p

This is where the fun began.
In no-time I noticed the turbo's where worn out and after I replaced them I literally spun every bearing you can think of.

I had the choice, scrap it or repair it, I choose neither and decided to start upgrading :p

So that is where it stands now, I pulled the engine and got a 3.1L engine with forged pistons and crankshaft.
In the meantime give it a full 120K tune up, oil pump, water pump, new timing belt and pulley's.

If I have to guess I'd say it will be finished in about 4 to 6 months time and I finally get to REALLY drive it :D

Go fast Mod lis:

RayP 3.1L engine
TD04HL19T turbo's
Ported heads
3gen lifters
1mm oversized ferrea valves
Fidanza adjustable cam wheels
Kevlar timing belt
ported lower intake
ported exhaust manifolds
DN pre-cats
3SX downpipe
Southbend stage 3 OFE clutch
Flexalite fans
MSD ignition coils and wires
denso supra fuel pump hotwired
AN fuel supply line
AEM FPR
550 cc injectors
AEM EMS (pending)
IPS FMIC
IPS oil cooler

Lately I haven't been doing much on the car, mostly due to my personal "economical crisis" :p
But just to keep me motivated I went ahead and do some easy stuff on the car.

I pulled out the clutch vacuum tank, cruise control and a part of the active aero since a part was already removed by the previous owner.

I just routed the vacuum line directly from the booster to the plenum:

I also got rid of the stock fuel supply line from the pump to the front rail and started putting in the new lines.
Here's a shot of the new filter using the stock bracket.

I know the car is dusty as hell because of standing still for so long!

This weekend I should have finished porting the first engine head and will post some pictures, I also ported my lower intake so it matches the intake ports on the heads perfectly.

Also ordered my transmission brace from Ray.P so that should be in within a couple of weeks.

I got a little project going of making my own engine mounts.
I am going to use the stock engine mounts and press in polyurethane, like the ones 3sx has but cheaper :D and that's always a good thing.
It will take some time to get me some pics of that

I got some first pics from the heads.

We have finished porting one head but we still need to polish it, so on these pics nothing is polished yet.

First I have the combustion chamber, the chamber had a lot of casting flaws and irregularities.
We have smoothened everything out trying to get a flat surface, and also increased flow around the back of the valves A LOT.

vv

Here we have the intake port.
Completely gasket matched, probably took about 2mm away in the with and almost just as much in height.
More importantly we tried to create a perfect curve at the back near the valves for the air to flow into the combustion chamber.
Again smoothened everything out and removed the bumps at the valve seats.

The pics for the exhaust port didn't work out to well so I'll get some when I get the chance.

This is a runner from the lower intake.
Not much to tell here other than we matched the size to the gasket to ensure optimum fitment with the heads and made a perfect curve along the entire length of the runner.

I also grind all of the material that is left over because of the casting that is inside the heads, I mean where the valve springs go etc.
I even found entire pieces of aluminum inside the coolant channels left over after casting.
Mitsubishi obviously didn't care for a little fine tuning of their products.

These heads are going to be fitted with:
New valve guides
+1mm ferrea intake and exhaust valves
Fidanza adjustable cam wheels
3gen lifters

Update,
