I recently had to retap my transaxle motor mounts which involved having to unplug the MAF and remove the airbox.

Ever since reinstalled the car will not start at all unless i stab the gas as im cranking. Once started it seems to drive perfectly fine. Could i have hurt the MAF or something? If i did hurt it a little, could i cause issues such as damage the longer i use it?

How does the webbing look inside? Is it in place?

Are you sure it's plugged in correctly? If you unplug it, does it change anything?

It is unlikely but still possible I suppose. I would lean toward vacuum leak(s) since the intake is what you removed.

Check to see if you broke one of the wires on the plug to the MAF or if one of the pins might be bent and then try some Dielectric grease on the connection.
