Car would not start and POOF car came back to life

Earlier today I got into my car and tried to turn on my car and for some reason it did not start. I initially thought it would be that I left a light on that killed my battery or something, but I popped my hood and just tapped my battery with my finger and I heard a clicky noise for 2 seconds (assuming my starter) and everything seemed to run like normal. Any idea what may be the cause?

Loose battery terminal? Lots of variables, but it just sounds like that's the only thing you touched. In the event that it's loose, when you're driving around it could move and lose connection from bumps, turns, etc.

Guy that sold it to did not even tighten the battery terminal, the battery bushings were not on the correct side, and also explained why the battery was crooked. the car has started every time no problem with your help. Thanks, bud! (cool username too)
