ok my ca has 98k miles on it and it smokes when i let it sit and idle for a little bit then i throttle it. how can i tell if this is my turbo seals that have gone bad or if it is my rings that have gone, or valves. How do i diagnose this?

and also if you run "normal" oil for a car for a long time then switch over to synthectic it will harden the seals like steel.. no joke.. i saw one.. you couldnt bend it.. went to a lecture and it is some reaction between the two but it will harden seals... how long have you been running "normal" oil?

I had the same problem... I would say its your valve seals.

Its a slight possibility that its your turbos leaking also... but I would lean towards the valve seals
