camaro and mustang GT die to my N/A

wow, last night i had a shit load of races. People just must of been in the mood or something.


First: Brand new camaro V6. i know he had exhaust and some other shit. I could hear the exhuast and he had some stickers on the back side glass where all those guys like to show off their shit.

We were dickin around on the highway, First we both punched it from 80mph, i pretty much just walked away from him. We shut down at around 115-120. Then we hit the exit and got on the little road next to the highway (fetar road).

On that road we let all the traffic get WAY infront of us, we both hit it at 30mph (which all auto guys knows, dont fuck with me at 30mph)

BAM, i had a huge jump, probably around 2 car lenghts. I hit second and it was all over from there. I just kept pulling and pulling and pulling. He never caught up. At the end of the race i would say i had around 4 car lenghts on him at 115mph.

96 or somethin Mustang GT with exhaust and some other shit (again, i saw the stickers that come with performance parts on the back but was to excited to try and read em)

On the highway, i accidently cut him off.. then it was on.

after i cut him off i just slammed on the gas.. 80, 100, 120, 130mph. I didnt let off. The thing that supprised me was he was keeping up. When i hit 130 and still saw his headlights behind me as far as they were when i took off.

So we both exited off. We were on a cop filled road with some traffic so i was kinda parinod.

We both hit a red light that only stayed red for like 1 second after we stopped. He took off fast as shit. I didnt see the light had turned green so i didnt take off. After he got a little ways up he slowed down and waited for me.

So i pull right up next to him, he looks at me, takes the dog in his lap and throws it in the back seat.

We both gun it from 30mph again, in 1st i was pulling pretty bad, i thought i was going to win, Then he hit second or third (i dont know if he was auto or 5-speed) and started pulling back HARD, when i hit 3rd at 80mph we were both DEAD EVEN, he would pull a little bit, then i would regain it.

I'm calling that race a draw, i can handle regualr mustang GT's but that one was ALOT faster.

We both let off at around 90-100mph due to traffic and cops being on that road 24/7. And the speed limit was 35.

I also raced a acura type r and a V6 mustang. I thought those type r's were fast? We raced from a 60mph roll and i just ran away from his ass.

WHat mods do you have?? I thought the NA boats were pretty damn slow. I know a stock Stang Gt will eat one.

Well truth of the matter is that a Mustang GT from 94-97 or so was not as fast as everybody thinks. A Base/SL 3K/Stealth can take a Mustang GT between those years. But the newer version GT's are pushing about 260 Horses and running mid 14's at the track stock.

But I must say that I am very surprised that you ended up defeating a Type R..They should be running mid to high 14's at the track while our autos run mid 16's.

gutted cat, k&n, alot of misc weight reduction shit, and a few other things.

this mustang was FAST for its year, when i race the newer ones i'm usually %99 of the time dead even with em (when they're stock).

Auto trannys are good when racing from rolls... seeing is all the races i had last night were from 30mph rolls. I know i would of been laughed at if we raced from a dead stop.

about the type r - for all i know it could of been regular integra with type r badging.

all in all, i dont know how much hp my car has to the wheels, i dont trust those damn g-techs enough to believe em. Last time i did a quarter mile on that thing it said 14.8 - but you never know... maybe my cars just fast.
A 14.8 on an AUTO is ABOSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. If I could hit that mark I would be set in my auto. But damn I cant. HEHE:D

NAH man...even if you did get a 14.8 and I never did in my AUTO, it would just please me to see a fellow ATX 3SI driver hit such a low run with his auto.;)

The 94-97 GT's were absolutly pathetic in stock to lightly modded form. They are lucky to break the 14's. The new(er) GT's with 260HP are mid 14 second cars and not in the same league as the NA 3/S anymore.
gtech times are usually pretty close. the MPH is always off though.

I belive you about the mustang GT from a roll. I had one that just could not catch me on the BLVD here in Philly. Then we pulled up at a light. I was just like "shit". he tore me a new one. Oh well, he also had an Auto. My car is ass, I am about to trade it in for a 2002 Nissan Altima. They may not look as nice as a 3000GT, but they sure are faster.

94 and 95 GT's still had the 5.0 V8 in them. It was 96 that they switched to the modular 4.6L 215 (I think) HP V8. Those stayed in until 98 and in 99+ they retuned them or something and got the 260 HP out of them which in my opinion is still week considering the LT1 Camaro's have been putting out 275 and 285 from 93 - 97 and even more after that.
and why do you have the smaller of the v6s available in that body style? more better get a LT1

and does that 3 inch cat really help a v6 without turbo?
yeah i totally believe you on that mustang kill. Those gens are the weakest gen i believe. They only have around 215 horsepower and are a mid to low 15 second car. Definately in the SL R/T killing range. And the type R integra, well you never know, people will put a "Type R" sticker on just about anything these days. :rolleyes:

to clear things up a little bit.. i'm not %100 sure what year it was, it could of been a 94 or whatever, i'm just positive it had a after-market exhaust. from 93-98 all mustangs look the same to me, so i guessed 96.

the older 91 or whatever 5.0s with 225hp... i tear those a new asshole from a roll, so theres NO WAY the mustang i raced only had 215-225 hp.

i havent done the little dyno thing on a gtech since i got my car from the dealership, when i did that it hit 189 (towards the end of first gear) - and yes... i put just about the EXCACT weight in the thing.

Ummm, you are sadly misinformed. Might want to go luck up what 4.6L mustang GT's are rated (215hp). I smoke mustang gt's weekly in my 222hp 93 base 3k.

YESSS!!!!!!!!!

If you end up SuperCharging it you can tell us what to expect from a DOHC supercharged N/A. Like what kind of 1/4 Mile Time.. HEHE:D
