Okay so I had a shop put in my amp and cap last night. As I was driving away I noticed that there was a high pitched sound coming from either my amp or cap as my engine rev'd. My subs weren't even hooked up to the amp at this point and still aren't.
Does anyone know where this sound is coming from or how to fix it???

I believe that the engine noise usually comes from where your amp is grounded. You have to make sure there is going to be no engine noise where you ground your amp. I have also heard that a ground loop eliminator would fix this, which you can get at a local Radio Shack.
