Okay, let's see if I can explain this without sounding like a dumbass... too late. I was helping a friend install new speakers in her vehicle and didn't realize that there was a crossover built into the factory system. Right now, the head unit sends the rear signals to a set of fullrange speakers and then go into a tiny amp/crossover which then sends a low signal to a pair of woofers. I replaced the woofers with new 3-way speakers before I realized they were only getting a low signal. Basically, I want both the rear sets of speakers to be full range. Should I just tap into the full range signal before the crossover and run the old woofer-located-speakers in parallel? Will this damage the head unit? Or is there a way to bridge the signal from before and after the amp/crossover. Or will THIS damage the head unit?
