When I brake, or even if I just hit a bump in the road, there is a screeching sound coming from the back end of my car. I notice that when I hit my brakes really hard it will stop, or it will go away on its own. It does not do this constantly, but when it does do it it gets annoying. Any help is appreciated
Thanks
Andrew

If you do a search for this, there was the same kind of problem about a month back. some answer to it. are the E-Brake might need adjustment(or rotted out).Since they are disc brakes particles are sometimes stuck in there causing it to squeak, or if it's wet out it cause the brakes to sqeak a litte. Do a search and you'll have answers or diagnostic for your problem.

If the brake pads are worn down, the squealing should come when the brake is not depressed, and go away once the brakes are applied.
my brake pads prolly are worn down but the sound occurs when i first start driving with or without the brakes depressed.
