beat a TT in my N/A at the track yesterday!

yep its true..
i ran a 15.2xx to his 15.6xx
i got him off the line.. had a better 60'ft time.. and beat him to the line.. however he was catching me.. his trap was a 95 mph. wile mine was a 93mph. still beat him tho and a W is a W. (very inexperienced driver) my modded (mods in sig) 93 GT vs his 92 R/TTT stock. oh yeah i got video of it too! maybe 007ken will make it available to view on here.

raced a TT that had his boost turned to 6 psi on the highway.. a few times too.... pretty even.. depending on what gear i hit it from, or dumped it from.. i won one and he won one.. (hes a six speed too)

Thats pretty sweet, when can we expect a video? I want to see that. A 15.6 in a TT??? Thats pretty pathetic, where were you racing at? Good kill.

yeah.. 15.6 is definatley not good in a TT. we were racin at Newyork international raceway park, leicster NY.
if ken can figure out how to upload a video to the net then ill gladly post it. its awesome.

Yogurt, not to be a dick or anything, but a 15.2 with all those mods is terribble. I ran that with my stock '92 R/T. Unless your clutch is on its way out, I'd get to the track and practice-up to get your times down.

yeah i know they suck dude.. lol. thanks for pointin that out..

if i could learn how to launch.. id be in the 14.8xx according to my shitty 60ft times..
and if the track wasnt an hour away. and closed for the rest of the year.. id probly go.. lol.. why must people point out the obvious.

Good Kill!
I ran a 14.9 with just a clutch and flywheel.
I am planning a 14.5 with these mods.

Not bad

I ran a 15.5 with the current mods. Granted my boost solenoid was going and I was only making 6psi, my BOV was shot and my synchros are gone so I didn't make 2nd or 3rd ... but I don't think I'm a bad driver. A car is more than just a driver ... mechanical failure can do some aweful things to a car.

You know all TTs aren't that slow. Why, when I went to the stip stock in my TT I ran a 14.5. I think you may have just gotten lucky. Sorry- I'm just in an extra smartass mood tonight

I think 14.5 is pretty bad to man. They are supposed to be running high 13's. Atleast that is what I knew.

The difference between a 13.7 and a 14.5 with a TT isn't much. You bog your launch just wrong, shift just a little too slow or too early and that's very believable. My first time at the track I watched about 20 LS1's all pull low-high 14's ... and those supposedly deep 13 second cars stock (and I bet some of them weren't stock). Anything can happen at the track, specially for an inexperienced driver with only one or two runs. That's why bench racing is bullshit ... more often than not you will be surprised with the difference between what should happen and what does.

Now that's not saying 14.5 is good ... but it's not that much of a surprise to me either. I'd say that's a bad run for a stock 2nd gen and a somewhat below average run for a 1st gen ... but nowhere near horrible. (15.5 is horrible

I forgot to mention that I am the worst driver on this board. 14.5 is bad, but with my mods now, my best of 13.3 and 107 mph trap speeds is just downright embarassing.
