Here's an idea. The late 80's early mustangs also had 1 piece balljoints control arms. To get around it, a friend removed the assembly, ordered an aftermarket lowered control arm, and corresponding ball joint, and for slightly less than the cost of the factory setup, had a refeshed front end with improved handling. Not sure if it is as feasible for these cars, but maybe something to consider.
If I can get my hands on a already used lower control are with a ball joint or just the ball joint someone has taken out I will try to see if I can find a match. I would bet it is just a standard ball joint pressed in and we can find a replacement. It is atleast worth a try.
When I used to work for Moog out of St. Louis several years ago they were big on manufacturing ball joints for cars like Honda, etc. so you did not have to replace entire control arm assembly. Moog might make it for your car- check with local parts store or front end shop that carries Moog chassis parts.
BTW- if their is one available it would be far superior to factory. They supply ball joints for most major race teams, etc.
Paul- sorry to build false hope- I called them and they don't list one available for the 3000GT and neither does TRW

Does anybody else remember the Pontiac Banshee? A 4 liter V8 from ’88 / ‘89. Was a promo car for the Firebird line. Man I loved this car design, No doors, just a glass sliding back to let you in. Man, until I saw the Stealth in '91, This car was my dream!
Im in the market for one of these.. and the only place ive found that has them is 3sx. and i hope they are cheaper somewhere else.
Im mainly interested in the one that says stealth, or twin turbo, perferably not the cut thru style.
I have a couple of questions about the intake plenum spacer. I'm thinking about getting one from 3sx this fall, and I was wondering if it came with the gaskets, or if I had to get those seperate. I was also wondering if anyone that has one noticed any power gain?
Alright today i went out and started to seperate my transmission case, got all the bolts out and it won't pull apart any ideas on why it won't come apart i have it pulled apart a lil bit there is about a inch between one side and the other side. Anyone have any suggestions?
