Update....been beating the hell out of it. Lol
- replaced bias slick with a Mickey ET Street R DOT radial. Much happier with how it feels at speed. And holds power better from a roll. Not as good from a dig on the street, but should be fine at the track. (My best 60’s have been with 17” dot radials. 15" slick took more boost, more rpm, more timing, and still went slower to 60. Didn't test any higher, because I wanted them off the car. Super unstable at speed.)
-lowered rear a hair after rolling/pulling fenders some more

-have front speed sensor fixed and %slip traction control working. Works great from a roll so far. Overpowered it from a dig. But guessing it will work fine at the track. still more testing to do. and really need to find a spot on the street close to my house that I can prep and test.
-sent my FP400 (8488) turbo back to get rebuilt and upgraded to a 9193.
-drove 8 hrs round trip yesterday to borrow a buddy’s well used s475 turbo.

-Installed it last night and ran it up to 24psi and a 150shot immediately after installing. Lol
-makes a lot of hot air. But still fun. 60-80 in 1 sec without nitrous. Low 9 sec power no nitrous. “Might” touch 8’s with nitrous but I need to add more meth nozzles. Only had 30GPH instead of 64GPH and it needs it!
-might be getting a cheap china turbo from FP for stress testing. (He bought some of them just to see how good/bad they are. Tolerances and aero aren’t on par but they’ll make some boost and “might” hold together.)

-test n tune Sunday. US60 Hardinsburg, KY (my new “local” 1/8 after the other closed a couple years ago)
-first no prep Saturday April 4th at Thornhill Dragstrip, Morning View, KY (outside of cinci). World’s oldest, continuously running drag strip. Unfortunately they can only operate 6hrs a week now due to noise ordinances but they are somehow still surviving. BS!

Bugs seem to be worked out on car and now it's testing and enjoying. Few little improvements here and there I'm doing between beating on it.

Edit: and trans cooler works great!

Hot-wired rear active aero to raise spoiler. Should have done it as soon as I installed it. Car can definitely use more downforce on back at speed.

Also working on a headlight intake to turbo. Need to get it some forced cold air. I really screwed it all up when I switched to a mechanical PS pump, which made me move my wastegate which then got in the way of my intake tube. Yay.

I really don’t want to have to do a headlight intake though so may look at seeing where else I can put the wastegate so I can go back to the intake I previously made.

Thanks!!

Another update....
Ordered 170mm travel BC coilover dampers. These should be a direct swap for what I have now and get 2” more extension travel which should really help with what I’m trying to do. More would be even better but this is as long as I could find and be a direct swap to my fortune auto setup. And $95 each so not bad.

162lb/in 12” long springs on order from Ridetech locally. Will have approximately 4.6” of coil compression (stored energy). I’ll play with preload to get them set in the stroke where I want it. It may be perfect with just minimal preload though as I want as much upward travel as possible without riding the bumps stops. I thought about 150lb springs but just concerned with cheap BC cartridges being able to control the rebound during a launch.

If the fronts work out, I’m going to order longer rear struts also And lighter springs.

And FP is sending me an 80mm turbo temporarily as they upgrade mine. The 80mm is a China import they bought to evaluate selling a low buck option. I’m going to see if I can break it. Lol.

Not sure when my upgrade will be ready. I want a 91mm but I think it’s only going to be an 88mm but with a bigger better turbine than what I have now.

Always coming together and apart. lol

Don’t think I posted but I got in on “deal” with Team260 for a bolt together PTC converter. Still expensive but around $700 savings. With the bolt together you can swap stators to change the stall. I need a lot looser for lower power no prep stuff and can stay tighter for higher boost prepped stuff. Is a PITA to drop the trans so don’t want to do it every other weekend but is a lot faster than sending my converter back like I’ve done once already and need to do it again with the new cam/intake.

Moved the wastegate and closed off old hole. This let me run my old intake tube I built. Test drive tonight showed I have better IAT.

Very nice. You don't get tired of working on it non stop?

I try not to think about the work; I think about the results, the event or the goal. Otherwise, it’s very tiring. I spent 12hrs straight on it yesterday between messing with front shocks (that will take even more time), and the turbo kit mods (taking on and off, welding, etc).

Plus a couple map revisions for remote tunes and some episodes of The Expanse with my boy.

More chill today though. But still some goofing with car. Beat on it for awhile too. Was going to go to the track today, but the 75mm is “meh” without 150shot for more power. Seemed like a waste.

Hopefully have the China 80mm to throw on this week. And I should have the pieces I need to get the longer shocks in. Then I’ll go to the track Sunday to test. So probably another long Saturday in the garage.

You have any fears that this crazy virus will shut down local racing?

I went to grocery stores both Friday and Saturday (grocery shopping on Friday, my wife wanted to pick up a couple of things yesterday).
I atmosphere here is crazy. Cops standing at the end of the "papers" isle. Apparently when people were turning their back, others were grabbing TP and Paper Towel and running off.
The meat counter (at a different grocery) was completely empty and the lights turned off in the case and the section!

Good luck with your plans...

Bob.

well they did shut down TX2K20 to spectators this year.

But locally, they will stay open.

The China 80mm came in yesterday. I drilled and tapped cover for meth nozzles and installed. I was advised not to beat on it too hard as it doesn’t have a good thrust system like the FP stuff but ran 26psi last night. Lol.

Traction control was working awesome from a roll. And so was the bumper air inlet to turbo. No intercooler 64GPH of meth, 26psi 129* IAT. Not bad!

Can’t wait to get the 88mm with better turbine and run 30+psi

Yeah 80mm inducer. The FP I sent in for upgrade was 84mm inducer but will be 88mm when it comes back. I want 91mm but I don't think that wheel won't be ready yet. Another big change will be 99/93 turbine with better aero than the 96x88 turbine that I have now. Emap gets wild near 30psi now. The turbine wheels are done, but I don't think the T6 housings are done yet. That's why I have the Covid-80 special for now to play with.

She's a beaut Clark, even for being made in China. Good thing is, you can just suck all that COVID right up, douse it in meth and burn it up in the exhaust.

On a lighter note, I just binge watched all of the Expanse, earlier this year. Probably one of the better Sci-Fi shows I've seen.
