No. Iv`e been driving it for years as a vacation car. A while back, I was driving it and it got hot.
Real hot >>> I don`t know if it`s a head gasket or head, but I think it`s upstairs.. No one around here will work on it, so I came to your community to see if I could get some advice on a person that may want to tackle this . I`m in E. Tennessee.
Thanks.. Have a great holiday !!!!!

Yes I`ve checked all that stuff. When you start it, it spews coolant out of the radiator filler hole. Something is very wrong. I`d like to sell it as is for $ 1000

So you took your thermostat out and checked it by dropping it in boiling water and seeing if it opens? Have you replaced your filler cap? Checked for air bubbles in the system?

Did you try a compression test? If exhaust gasses are leaking into your coolant system it should show up on a compression test.

Sorry man I don't know what you did or what your skill level is. Just trying to cover all bases and maybe save you some aggravation. If it's running fine except overheating and the only symptoms are water coming out of your radiator filler cap I'd try the compression test. If it fails on one or more cylinders it's probably your head gasket.

If it is the head gasket it's gonna be tough to sell it even at $1k.

Good luck.

Thanks a lot. I`m not able to do a bunch of diagnosing any more. I`m disabled and can`t do a lot of stuff like I used to. As much as I love the car and have enjoyed it for 22 years, I can`t see pouring a bunch of money in it. I want it to go to a good home. Mabey I can find someone with a wrecked one or one rusted out and needs a good body.

No not coming out spraying out with great force as soon as it is started.....
If the engine is still able to run
You need to lower the coolant level and combustion check the coolant system with a block test kit

By What your saying that it blowing coolant out

This very well could be a head gasket issue
Being that the head gasket is comprised and as the piston comes up to compress for combustion
This pressure could be forced on the coolant jacket side of the block forcing your coolant to be blown out
This pressure has to go somewhere
