Put me in as a maybe. I'm an over the road truck driver now and no plans really can ever be set in stone. Already took more time off then my boss wanted this year for the family.
8th Annual CT Oktoberfest Meet - 10/4/2015
It's that time of year again, the leaves will soon be turning and winter is on its way. Let's all get our cars out one last time for the 8th annual CT Oktoberfest meet!
For those of you who may not have attended a prior Oktoberfest meet, this is always a large turnout and brings out some of the nicest 3Ss in the area from CT and surrounding states.
Like prior years we will be having the meet the same weekend as the Sun Brewfest at Mohegan Sun casino. We will meet up, soak in the fall sights, go on a short cruise, then stop for lunch and, most importantly, show off our cars. Here is the rundown:
Sunday October 4th:
12:00 - meet in parking lot at Hubbard Park, 999 West Main St, Meriden, CT
12:30 - caravan up the peak drive to Castle Craig
2:30 - cruise to J. Timothy's, 143 New Britain Ave, Plainville, CT
3:00 - lunch at J. Timothy's
Optional events:
Saturday October 3rd:

We will be attending the Sun Brewfest from 1-4pm at Mohegan Sun. This is one of the region's largest beer festivals with hundreds of beers to sample, all you can drink, all for only $25. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time via the above link or at the door.
After the fest we'll spend a couple hours sobering up then grab a bite to eat at one of the many dining establishments on site (location TBD.)

Whats the deal if this "hurricane" aka rain comes rolling through?
I feel like it rains almost every year we have this meet, just bad luck. Rain or shine the meet goes on, if the weather is bad we'll just head over to the lunch spot sooner.

So now that its going to be dry do i actually have to wash my car for this event...

LOL... I have the same problem. I will be there tomorrow... just got back home today, had some other stuff going on. But looking forward to tomorrow now that it's not supposed to rain!So now that its going to be dry do i actually have to wash my car for this event...

It was a perfect day... classic Oct afternoon with bright blue sky and moderate temps. Kudos to Kevin for setting this up! Thanks... it was most likely the last big trip for me this year - probably just daily driving until it snows from now on. I had a great time, now waiting for next year lol!
