That’s wild. My best 60ft at Sick Week was 17psi in nitto nt05 (200 treadwear).

Those Goodyear's are little softer compound then those nitto tires
Try 30 32 on some concrete
Being that your gonna be on NO prep correct?

Finally got my car back out on the road this morning man
(Normal cruise log)
I had to play a bit couldn't help it
Creeping from a stop rolling launch was pretty eye opening
1 time was good enough holy crap
Internal Wastegates springs 15lbs

Nittos are rated at 200 treadwear but they are old/aged. Goodyear are rated at 220. Don’t think manufacturers use a consistent method though based on my research so a 220 could have more traction than 200. That would be great.

Yeah, no prep. Rough asphalt usually. Sometimes scraped and scrubbed smooth concrete.

Doesn’t take much to have a fun street car! 500-600 is awesome.

Yeah those nitto tires are hard lugs even when they are new
Those Goodyear tires you should feel at least a 40 % difference if not more

But the way some of these tires are made like Michelin with using sunflower oil for wet grip traction is pretty neat

Like im running an all season Hankook ventus S1 noble 2 mainly for the traction which is ridiculous to say the least in the corners
Cornering hard enough in the summer heat to clinch up to rip the seats
Well at least when the tires are nice and heated up
I don't drive it in the rain doesn't matter what tire is on this car it turns into a boat at 45 mph which is scary as hell

For tread wear even though they say 220 treadwear those Goodyear's are gonna be a softer compound rubber then those nitto tires
Meaning they will probably wear a lot quicker
On the bright side of it they will have so much more grip then the nitto tires I can assure you on that one

My favorite tires that I have used and would highly recommend
Even though I work for Firestone / Bridgestone
And have Potenza tires at my Disposal...

I'd have to say those Hankooks / Nankangs / Michelin pilots / goodyear eagle F1s
(Goodyear's flagship tire)
For grip purposes hands down

The Goodyear RSA's not so much they wear fast plus they don't have any reassuring grip when you really need it ....

What’s the grippiest 220 treadwear that has a 275/35/18 or 265/40/18????

That’s what I need. :) not many 220 options that I’ve seen but I’m not an expert!

265 / 40 r18 will give you plenty of wiggle room to add air or lower it
Plus the ride or cruise from place to place won't be as harsh in road travels

35 series you hit a pot hole 9 times out of 10 your wheel is gonna get bent ...
Also ride quality will be comprised (ruff)

275 35 R18 Might also give you to much body sway if lower psi .... if you come off the line either going left or right be a little bit more difficult to get her to act right and go strait

9 in half wide
would definitely stick with what your tire size your already running
These good years might sit slightly different on the wheels then the nitto tires
Probably more of a bead protection to the wheel thicker sidewall
Run the 275 / 35

Started deleting power steering. 22.6lbs of crap gone. Next is to depower the rack and put on new inner tie rods. The ones on it were definitely shot and source of my shimmy at highway speeds.

with removal of AC compressor (18lbs) and PS (22lbs), i have 40lbs off the car which puts race weight at ~2930 with me in it. That's going to be as low as it goes.

Yeah run those F1's same size you have
They will sit slightly different on the rims then the nitto tires regardless
i ended up ordering the 265/40's. The 275's have been rubbing a little. Will raise ride height a little for the taller sidewall and hopefully the slightly narrower tread clears the fenders perfectly

Yeah that's the last thing you want rubbing
If it's the side wall eventually it will cost you big
Heat damage over time turning into a may pop
Why lots of people want to use nitrogen in there tires reduces heat transfer from moisture and oxygen molecules along with nitrogen
Larger molecules just strait nitrogen reduces heat and wear on the tire
Takes longer to escape the tire over time as well
(Per-say)
Cost effectiveness not so much as to service the nitrogen machine with new filters are like 6 to 700 $ years ago don't know what the filters cost now a days

When customers are paying 20 to 25 $ for a evac and refill
This is why its slowly getting phased out
