I don't remeber ever reading about this on the board so here goes the question....why is the 3sx frontpipe for the n/a's in two pieces? Is there any increase in exhaust noise from this??

I can answer this being that I designed it :)

the slip joint was to insure that we never had the problem with flanges not lining up and needing a big ass hammer to install these like some others need...it gives no performance gain or loss only an assurance that it will fit between the flanges....if you dont like the idea you can take it to any muffler shop to weld up nice and tight..those strap clamps are the best seal the joints.....they dont squeeze the tube to cause a crimp and will be reusable again and again.

mine is welded too.. that damn strap clamps bent my front pipe (downpipe) and my cat bolt was rusted on to.. had to take it to a muffler shop and have them put it on

but i like the gain i got
