i am doing the conversion from first to second gen this weekend, I am taking pictures and everything so i will let you know as soon as it is done. from looking at it, all i think that has to be done is to cut part of the bucket to get it to fall in. I will find out more once I try it.

yeah, i noticed that, but what about the allinement of the top bolts into the radiator support. i think we might have to trim the area on top also aroud one of the bolts. i'm not sure though. please let me know how things turn out..
thanks

Hey, let me know how it turns out ... have been thinking about it too ... just didn't know how much of a pain in the ass it would be.

Thanks
Detailed sequence of photos along with work descriptions during the conversion process will do lots of favors to 1st Gen owners planning such conversion.

Possible part numbers and price of parts will be appreciated. Also detailed bodyshop torching, cutting & welding commentary.
See my post I made here:

That details my outcome as far as the conversion goes... I have plans to go through with it, there is too much money in it now.
