General Information

3000GT SL
Caracas Red
I bought the car in 2001, while on a Western Pacific deployment, from a dealer in Clovis, NM. I competed in my first car show at Extreme Autofest 2006 in San Diego, CA and took Second Place "Best 3000GT." I took First Place "2nd Gen" at the West Coast National Convention (WCNC) 2006 in Las Vegas, NV. In April 2007, I drove the car from San Diego, CA to Newport, RI and back, without incident!

Due to being on deployments, I was away from the car show circuit until August 2010, where I competed at the RPM car show in Irvine, CA. I took Second Place "Best Daily Driver" in a pretty large field of cars, including all makes and models. Love this platform, and although I don't have the speed of the VR-4's, I do have reliability on my side.
I moved from San Diego to North Dallas in June, and placed in the "Top 15" at the O'Reilly/Firestone Car Show in Garland, TX on July 15th, 2011. Won "Best of Show" at Dickey's BBQ Pit Car Show in Rowlett, TX on October 22nd 2011!

In 2012, I won "Best Mitsubishi" at Dallas Autorama on February 17th, and "Best of Show" at Mitsubishi Owners Day, held in Irving, TX on June 2nd.

I drove to several show hosted by Import Face Off and here are the results:
-Mar 4th Shreveport, LA - Best Mitsubishi and Best Display.
-Apr 15 Noble, OK - Best Mitsubishi, Best Display & Best Engine Bay
-Apr 29 Ennis, TX - Best Mitsubishi
-Sep 9 Noble, OK - Best Mitsubishi & Best Display
-Nov 11 Ennis, TX - Best Mitsubishi & Best Display

A picture of the car was in the Oct 2012 issue of Import Tuner (bottom left), as one of the mid-season IFO car show point leaders.

The car is ranked #5 nationwide and #2 in the region!

In late September, the night before Wekfest In Austin, TX, I was a victim of a "hit and run" driver (who was later found). I decided to change the front end to a Novara bumper and added '99 turns.

This has turned out to be a great hobby, and I'm glad I have my dream car!
